Meet the Team

Director

Dr Kristan Bromley PhD, BEng, OLY

Kristan has spent over 28 years immersed in the high tech aerospace, sports engineering and Olympic technology environments. His background across engineering disciplines, from design engineering, CAE, performance analysis, advanced composites manufacturing, CNC machining & developing products to market creates a broad foundation for innovation success.

Having tuned his competitive instincts developing and racing sleds for British Skeleton at four Olympic Winter Games, Kristan understands the nature of setting and achieving milestones under tight deadlines and pressure. His Phd in Sports Engineering underlines an insatiable appetite for performance gain & the need to create a competitive advantage, no matter what the industry. Kristan has been at the forefront of engineering world since 1989 having spent 12 years at BAESYSTEMS Military Aircraft division, whilst holding three academic positions across three leading Universities, including Visiting Professor at Sheffield Hallam University. Kristan's business acumen includes founding technology companies that manufacture & sell high performance products around the world and working in Kuala Lumpur developing Telehealth solutions for the Malay MOD. In 2010 Kristan won the prestigious Yorkshire 42 Under 42 Innovation Business award. In 2010 Kristan was awarded an Alumni Laureate award from Nottingham University and in 2017 he was inducted into the University's Sporting Hall of Fame.

Senior Development Engineer

Dr Dom Parsons PhD, BEng, OLY

Dom joined KBX Tech as Senior Development Engineer after completing his PhD in Engine Combustion at the University of Bath, working in collaboration with Jaguar Land Rover & Ford.

With experience in engineering analysis, testing , simulation, programming (Python/Matlab/C++), CAD/CAE, Dom is a hardened technology enthusiast.

Like Kristan, Dom has sharpened his teeth in Olympic sport & technology having won Great Britain's first men's Olympic medal in the sport of Skeleton for over 75 years, in Pyeongchang Korea 2018.

Elite sport coupled with an advanced engineering career path has given Dom a strong toolset to approach complex challenges and optimise and refine solutions driven by ambitious customer goals.
